This option ensures you do not waste your holiday inside a classroom or training pool whilst on holiday! The referral course is for those who are going on holiday and would like to complete the Open Water dives at your holiday destination.
Book a PADI Open Water Diver Referral Course you will automatically be offered a FREE taster session worth £45.00 in the pool on a Tuesday or Thursday evening prior to the start of your Full Course!
The PADI Open Water Referal Curse is divided into 3 areas:-
- Pre-course independent home study with your (included) Dive Planner, DVD & Open Water Course Manual (we will contact you re these after booking your course online). The 5 knowledge reviews in the course manual MUST be completed prior to your classroom session.
- Classroom session (Saturday & Sunday mornings, 2 days). Start at 9:30a.m. - Finish around 3.00pm. *Alternatively optional MIDWEEK evening class & pool sessions are available - See Confined Water Training below for details - (Tuesday & Thursdays, 5 sessions. Start at 19:30).
- Confined Water Training (swimming pool sessions) at Maidstone Leisure Centre on the same weekend as your classroom sessions, Saturday & Sunday. Start 4.00pm - Finish 7.00 pm. Typical ratio is 3 to 4 students to each instructor. *Alternatively optional MIDWEEK evening class & pool sessions are available at a supplement (Tuesday & Thursdays, 5 sessions). Start at 19:30 - Finish around 21:00
Following your class and pool sessions we will issue you with a PADI Referal Certificate to take with you on holiday to complete the Open Water dives at another PADI Centre at your holiday destination.

Course Pre-requisites
- No diving experience necessary
- Minimum age: 10* - No upper age restriction.
- Able to swim 200 meters any style
- Able to tread water/float for 10 minutes
NOTE:- * Students between the ages of 10 to 15 will receive a PADI Junior Open Water Diver certification on completion of training. Junior Open Water divers between the ages of 10 and 11 years may only dive with a PADI Professional, a certified parent or certified guardian to a maximum depth of 12 metres. From age 12 years and above depth is limited to 18 mts.
