John Bartlett - PADI Master Instructor, Staff Instructor & Managing Director of Maidstone Scuba School
John (age 55) is a former racing driver (1979 – 1992) and Helicopter Pilot. John started Scuba Diving in 1969 with BSAC at the age of 16, switching allegiance to PADI in 1997 and becoming a PADI Instructor the following year. Interests outside diving include walking, reading, cooking and old ‘creaky’ films. John’s first novel: Chequered Justice’ a combustible fast paced legal thriller, that alternates between the glamorous high octane world of the race track and the dry sterile reality of the British justice system is due to be published in November 2010.
Mary Bartlett - Course Administrator
PADI Assistant Instructor, Mary (age 52), the backbone of Maidstone Scuba School! Mary deals with all admin, paperwork and general course organisation. Mary started diving around 10 years ago (trained by John) and when not immersed in paperwork also runs Maidstone Therapies (click for more information)

Simon Ross Deveau - Course Director (PADI SILVER Rated)
Course Director, DAN Instructor Trainer and EFR Instructor Trainer; qualified to train the full range of PADI Specialities to Instructor level and 1 of only 175 'Silver Rated' Course Directors WORLDWIDE! Simon has also a been involved in commercial diving and is a technical diving Instructor Trainer. Simon is also an experanced cave diver and can be found crawling around in the mud at the bottom of some cave whenever he is not training! Other interests include climbing and mountaineering.

Clive Albon- PADI Course Director - (PADI PLATINUM Rated)
Clive, age 43, became a PADI Instructor in 1990 and Course Director ten years later in 2000. Clive is qualified to train the full range of PADI Specialities up to Instructor level, his favourite being wreck diving. He is also 1 of only 90 'Platinum Rated' Course Directors WORLDWIDE! Other interests include travel, reading, dining out and building model trains with his 5 year old son!
Richard Wingett - PADI Master Instructor & Staff Instructor
Richard loves the water and has competed in various water sports at both national and international level. In 2004 he became a PADI Instructor and was certified Master Instructor in 2009. Richard has Instructor Speciality ratings in Nitrox, deep diving, wreck diving , PPB, project aware, and dry suit diving (to mention just a few).
Andrew Grundy - PADI Dive Team Instructor
Andrew (Age 40) lives in Aylesford. He was active in the Scouting movement, gaining the highest achievement, the Queens Scout Award. He currently works as an IT manger for The National Bank of Abu Dhabi in London. Andrew started diving in 2003 with Maidstone Scuba and completed all his dive training with Maidstone Scuba School qualifying as PADI Instructor in 2005. When not diving Andrew enjoys football and is qualified FA referee.
Tracy Jordan - PADI Assistant Instructor
Tracy is married with 2 sons (both diving with Maidstone Scuba School). Tracy started diving in 2006 with Maidstone Scuba School, since that time she has continued her training and now works with the school as a PADI Assistant Instructor. Tracy is working to become a full PADI Instructor with Maidstone Scuba in 2010.
